Computer Science, Week 1: Jai & Krish

This week’s lesson was a resounding success! Jai and Krish took up Python programming very well and were able to learn a lot of key concepts fairly easily. They were respectful, thoughtful, and receptive to the lesson, and asked many important clarifying questions.

We learned about many key topics, starting with data types (strings, integers, and floats), and then moving on to print() functions. We spent some time working on string and integer manipulations involving the print() function. We also spent quite a bit of time learning about variables. The kids spent time learning how to store strings, integers, and floats in variables.

Overall, today was a great lesson, and I am very excited to continue teaching the kids.
